2013년 단편영화 <왜 독립영화 감독들은 DVD를 주지 않는가?>에서 개성 넘치는 독립영화 감독 ‘이순지’ 역으로 활동을 시작, 다수의 독립영화와 연극을 통해 기본기를 다졌다. 드라마 <프로듀사>(2015), <풍선껌>(2015), <디어 마이 프렌즈>(2016), 영화 <커튼콜>(2016) 등에 출연하며 차근히 자신만의 필모그래피를 쌓았다.

첫 주연작 영화 <그랜드 파더>(2016)에서 세상의 혹독함을 겪는 여고생 ‘보람’ 역을 맡아 슬픔, 절망, 외로움을 담담히 그려낸 연기로 호평을 받았다. 이어 같은 해 드라마 <도깨비>를 통해 똑 부러진 ‘반장’ 역으로 존재감을 드러내며 본격적으로 주목받기 시작했다.

이후 드라마 <7일의 왕비>(2017), <고백부부>(2017), <마더>(2018), <아스달 연대기>(2019) 등 장르를 넘나드는 다양한 캐릭터를 통해 연기 스펙트럼을 넓혔다. 청순하고 사랑스러운 모습부터 총명하고 강단 있는 모습까지 화수분 같은 매력을 쏟아내며 사람들의 마음을 사로잡았다.

2020년 드라마 <하이바이, 마마!>는 배우 고보결의 이름을 대중에게 각인시킨 작품이다. 사별한 남자의 두 번째 아내이자 아이의 새엄마 ‘오민정’ 역을 맡아 인물의 복잡한 내면을 밀도 높은 여기력으로 완성 시킨 것. 진정선이 전해지는 섬세한 연기로 시청자들의 공감을 불러일으키며 ‘고보결의 재발견’이라는 찬사를 얻었다.

고보결은 최근 드라마 <성스러운 아이돌>(2023)으로 또 한번 새로운 변신을 성공했다. 매니저 ‘김달’ 역을 맡아 코믹, 설렘, 힐링을 다 잡은 마성의 매력을 선사했다.

변신의 변신을 거듭하며 꾸준히 성장해 온 배우 고보결은 그동안의 노력을 발판으로 한 걸음 더 나아갈 준비를 하고 있다.

She began her career as ‘Lee Sun Ji’, a unique independent film director, in the 2013 short film <Where Is My DVD?> and went on to build a strong foundation as an actor in multiple independent films and plays. She built her filmography slowly through television series such as <The Producers> (2015), <Bubble Gum> (2015), <Dear My Friends> (2016), and the film <Curtain Call> (2016).

In <Grandfather> (2016), her first film starring as the protagonist, she was applauded for her role as the high school student ‘Boram’ as she calmly acted out her sadness, despair, and loneliness in a cruel world. In that same year, she went on to star in the television series ‘Guardian: The Lonely and Great God’ where she made her presence known through her role as the brave and smart class president and began to gain acclaim.

Thereafter, she expanded her acting spectrum through diverse genres and characters in television shows such as <Queen for Seven Days> (2017), <Confession Couple> (2017), <Mother> (2018), and <Arthdal Chronicles> (2019). She captured the hearts of the public with her never-ending charms that range from innocent, lovely, intelligent, and brave.

In the 2020 television show <Hi Bye, Mama!>, she imprinted the name Go Bo Gyeol in the public’s minds. She took on the role of ‘Oh Min Jeong’, the second wife of bereaved husband and stepmother to the child, through which she successfully displayed the deep internal turmoil of the character. She earned the sympathy of the viewers with her sincere and detailed acting and gained the praise ‘rediscovery of Go Bo Gyeol’.

Recently, Go successfully went through another transformation in the drama <The Heavenly Idol>(2023). Playing the role of manager Kim Dal, she presented her arresting charm that ranges from comical to exciting to healing.

Go Bo Gyeol, an actor that has consistently grown through countless stages of transformation, is preparing to take another step forward based on what she has already worked hard to forge until now.
